A recreational paddle:

• 8am start at Pioneer.
• Not quite the attendance expected but onwards we went.
• Paul and Blaine in the Thompson canoe.
• Shirley and Gene in Tripper.
• Shirley paddled the green solo as well with great success.
• Little breezy at first then quiet on the south side.
• Mirror-like flatwater, we could see clear to the bottom.
• Turned east to the southeast corner and met a stiff wind returning to the parking lot. We ended up towing the Solo and going three paddlers in the Tripper all the way back (yep, that would me me, sitting flat on the bottom, providing ballast🙃)
• The waves were half a metre.
• All back safe – couldn’t wipe the smiles away or silence the chatter.
• Lots of fun. Until next time.
