Planned Paddling Trips and courses for 2023

Registration is now open for the 2023 Paddling season!
Here is a list of our events planned so far (As of March 13th 2023):
(More trips hopefully will be offered as Trip leaders plan them for the spring, summer, and fall). And last minute trips may be offered by email)
– Saturday April 1st. Spring Open House. 1pm – 3pm. @ Pioneer Park. Contact: Darryl Spencer *All Levels welcome
  (Free Voyageur canoe session open to public –  Register at: https://forms.gle/RisfVN8CdFiqfcSm6 ) Please share this event!
– Sunday April 2nd. Learn to Paddle Course. 9am – 4pm  @Pioneer Park. Contact: Darryl Spencer Beginner – Intermediate Rec Paddle
  (RCABC Basic Tandem Lakewater Course) Let your friends know!
– Thursday April 13th 7:30pm. Learn to Paddle Pool Session.  @ YMCA Pool Contact: Keiran Rankin  (Open to all club members to practice T and self rescues) *All Levels Welcome
– Saturday April 8th. Intro to Moving Water Clinic @ Pioneer Park  * Beginner Whitewater/ Intermediate- Advanced Rec. Contact: Keiran Rankin
 
– Easter Monday April 10. MW Day Trip (Thompson or North Thompson) @ Pioneer Park. * Beginner Whitewater/ Intermediate- Advanced Rec. Contact: Keiran Rankin
– Tuesday April 11th. Tuesday Night Adams River Whitewater Runs. WEEKLEY: Mid April – Mid May. @ Raft Take out 4:45pm. *Intermediate Whitewater. Contact: Keiran Rankin
– Wednesday April 12th Wednesday Night Rec Paddle. 5:45pm @ Pioneer Park. WEEKLEY: Mid April – Mid October. Beginner – Intermediate Rec Paddle. Contact: Keiran Rankin (Rotating leaders)
-Thursday April 13th Thursday Evening Marathon Training 5:30pm @ Pioneer Park. WEEKLEY: Mid April – Mid October. *Beginner – Intermediate Marathon. Contact: Thomas Powell
-April 21 – 23. RCABC Canoe Festival. @ Kawkawa Lake (Hope, BC). All levels welcome. Contact: Keiran Rankin Register at https://sites.google.com/view/bccanoefestival/early-bird-registration
– May 13th. Heffley Lake Day Trip. @ Heffley Lake Rec Site * Intermediate Rec Paddle. Contact:  Lisa Chaplin
– May 19 – 22. (May Long Weekend) Beaver Canoe Club MAy Long Weekend Upper SImilkameen Paddling Trip. @ Elk Ridge Campsite.  * Advanced Whitewater. Contact: Phil Rankin prankin@telus.net *Very Strong Whitewater Canoeist only!) Not technically a TRIPS event.
– June 3rd. Fortune Creek Day Trip @ Enderby Visitor Centre. * Beginner – Intermediate Rec Paddle.  Contact: Nancy Bepple
– June 4th Lower Shuswap Day Trip @ Enderby Visitor Centre. * Beginner – Intermediate marathon. Contact: DArryl Spencer
– June 24 – July 2nd. Beaver Canoe Club River’s Week.  @ The Outpost Campsite. * Intermediate – Advanced Whitewater. Contact: Phil Rankin prankin@telus.net Not technically a TRIPS event.
(Whitewater Canoe Day trips on Similkameen and Tulameen Rivers)
– Sunday August 6th. Horsefly River Day Trip. @Horsefly,  BC.  Beginner Whitewater. Contact: Keiran Rankin
–  September 1-4th. (Labour Day Weekend). RCABC Rivers Weekend.  @ L and G Campground. * Intermediate – Advanced Whitewater. Contact: Keiran Rankin
   (Whitewater Canoe Festival: Adams, Clearwater, Thompson, etc)
-Saturday September 16th. Shuswap River Cleanup Paddle Event. Middle Shuswap River. * beginner moving water.  8am downtown Lumby grocery store. Participants must register with admin@elementsadventures.com – Charles Ruechel
